Although only 29% of bloggers blog about the news, 44% read blogs to get fresh perspective on the news. This from a recent study by AOL published at emarketer.com.
You wouldn't think valuable news perspective was in such short supply, unless you've seen the mainstream media lately. This should serve as yet another wake-up call for traditional news outlets, that they are having their lunch eaten by the blogosphere. But we knew that.
